With this EC3 meter you can measure the conductivity (EC=Electrical Conductivity). The general water purity level is measured. Measure your tap water, mineral water, ideal water, rainwater, aquarium water etc. The EC3 meter is a water tester or conductivity meter and is simply held briefly in a glass of water and shows you the exact conductivity in µS (microsiemens) via an LED display. Ideal water or pure water have an optimal value of about 10 - 50 µS.
As soon as the value is displayed above 120 µS, the membrane on your Ideal Water system should be replaced.
For comparison: normal tap water has a µS value of approx. 400 - 1000 µS and more. The lower the value displayed, the purer the water. Test your tap water, drinking water and choose one of our Ideal Water systems!
